"Full dark brown leather boards are are textured and trimmed with gold border, spine has nice red labels and gold decoration. Rubbing at the corners, edges are stamped with gold design, wear on the creases and at the head/tail of spine, more on Vol II where there is scuffing on the spine. Nice bookplates on the inside cover from John Fuller Maitland who was an influential British music critic. Vol I has foxing on the two plates and scattered light foxing."
